A week ago I posted this photo of my book stack on Facebook. Here’s a report on the books:
> Archangel – returned unread because when I asked the library for it I didn’t realize it would be my third reread… and I remembered too much of it.
> The Last Unicorn – I’m sure I read it when first published but I”m not remembering it and am having a hard time making myself read it now. I don’t know why. I’ll probably return it unfinished.
> Hell of a Book – I’m stalled 3/4 of the way through it. I never have liked multiple POV books but I’ll try to finish before returning it to my friend Beth.
> Testimony – stalled 1/3 of the way into the memoir. I like it, love the man’s music and am interested in his life, but but the book’s just not calling to me at the moment. I’m blaming it on the state of the world right now.
> Snake-Eater – shouldn’t be in the pile because I read it very recently and as much as I loved it, it’s too soon to reread. It’s been returned to my shelf of autographed books.
> The End of the World As We Know It – a tough read and I almost quit several times, but the excellent writing quality kept me at it. Not recommended for reading right now as we edge closer to Armageddon unless you like being depressed.
> Have not gotten to Jesus the Sorcerer, Jesus the Magician, or the Pendergast, so they’re still in the pile.
